Workshop Description
Whether you are new to collage or a seasoned artist wanting to refresh the creative spark, this workshop will tap into your imagination and the artist within. Learn collage, layering, painting and printmaking techniques. Make what could have been discarded into beautiful collage paintings.
In this three day workshop, participants will spend the first day making materials such a hand painted papers, stamps, image transfers, and other materials along with preparing our surfaces and backgrounds for our finished "collage paintings". The next two days participants will be guided through my "spontaneous creativity method" to tap into their unique creative voice and complete several series of finished collage paintings. Ann will demonstrate techniques and discuss the topics of composition, color theory, glazing, selecting materials and how to work in a series of paintings.
